Massage Treatments

Sports Massage
Involves Deep Tissue Massage motivated to reach ingrained muscle tensions. It can be used as a precursor to physical activity to energize and warm up the body. It can also be used after physical activity to help in eliminating metabolic wastes and help muscle tissue regain its normal elasticity. Sports massage can treat a very specific problem resulting from repetitive sports movements or strength and flexibility imbalances between different muscle groups.

Deep Tissue
Deep Tissue Massage focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue and is used to release chronic patterns of muscular tension through slower strokes and more direct deep pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscle. A deep tissue massage will help loosen muscle tissues, release toxins from muscles and improve circulation.

Soft Tissue Release
Soft tissue release (STR) is a dynamic, highly effective technique that has an immediate and powerful effect on muscle tissue. It is a combination of movement and manipulation that is extremely versatile. The essence of this approach is a method of applying pressure to a muscle at the same time the muscle is being stretched.

Pregnancy Massage
Involves techniques adapted to a side lying installation to accommodate clients comfort. This massage serves two primary purposes simultaneously; stress and muscle tension reduction and focuses on the areas of the body most affected by all the biological changes.

Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger points can develop anywhere in the body, but are most commonly found in areas where the greatest amount of physical and mechanical stress is located. By applying pressure to these areas you can help to release this stress in the local tissue and relieve tension to any surrounding areas.

Relaxation
A flowing style of massage, generally in the direction of the heart that is used to promote relaxation, improve circulation and range of movement and relieve muscle tension.

Lymphatic Drainage
Gentle, flowing and rhythmic form of massage. It permits enhanced circulation of the lymph. This type of therapy has a purifying, regenerating, decongesting effect and in turn stimulates the immune system.
